Hampta Pass Overview-

The Journey Begins- 

Day 1 (Ahmedabad to Manali)

Manali serves as the base and foundation of the Hampta Pass Trek. Day 2 (Manali to Jobra to Chika) 

The second day of your journey will begin with a 2-hour drive from Manali to Jobra which is set to be at an elevation of 10,000 feet (about 3.05 km). You will be starting your trek from Jobra amidst the trails covered with lush green forests and the famous Rani Nallah stream to enlighten you with an energetic start.  

After a few steps into your trek, you will reach Chika which will serve as your campsite for the night. Rejuvenate yourself after a long day of drive and trek by setting your camp under the starry sky amidst the majestic mountains. Take time, have your favorite meals, and spend the night away to start a fresh start early in the morning. 

Day 3 (Chika to Balu ka Ghera) 

After sight of the refreshing sunrise and breakfast, it is now time for you to ascend further in your journey to the Balu ka Gher trek which is set at an altitude of 11,900 feet (about 3.63 km). This trail will offer you the sight of the Hampta River and stunning views of the snow-capped mountains. You will encounter several small streams to cross and boulder sections as you ascend higher which will eventually take you to the Balu ka Gher where you will set your camp and spend the night. 

Day 4 (Balu ka Ghera to Hampta Pass) 

On your fourth day, you will be conquering the most challenging and rewarding part of the trek, the highlight of your journey The Hampta Pass residing at an altitude of 14,100 feet (about half the height of Mount Everest). 

Start early in the morning as you will have to cover a long trail that awaits you, offering you snowfields and rocky terrain. As you march higher you will eventually reach the Hampta Pass rewarding you with panoramic views of the mountains and breathtaking valleys which will make you feel a triumph of victory and let you have the most beautiful stand of your life. Take time and capture this gigantic beauty from the top which will leave you awe-inspired your whole life. 

The Descend- 

Day 5 (Shea Goru to Chatru) 

From the Hampta pass, you will descend your way down to Shea Goru at an altitude of 12,900 feet (about 3.93 km) where you will set your camp and rest. Before setting your camp, your trail will offer you rocky terrains and marvelous views of the mountains to keep the excitement of your trek on. 

Wake up the next morning and start your descent to the Chatru set at an altitude of 11,000 feet (about 3.35 km) from where you will wind up your journey and reach Manali again. 

Day 6 (Chatru to Manali) 

On the last and final day of your trekking journey, wind up all the beautiful memories you have made from this trek and continue the last stretch of your trail. From Chatru you will have to drive a long way back to Manali amidst the scenic mountains and beautiful valleys.
